Residents in Sydney's south-west say drug-fuelled violence is destroying the area after two unrelated shootings overnight.
Police were called to apartment complexes in Cabramatta and Liverpool hours apart after two separate shootings.
A 40-year-old was hit once in the chest after five gunshots were fired through the door of his unit on Park Road, Cabramatta, shortly before 11.15pm.

A teenager has been airlifted to hospital with serious chest injuries after an explosion at a rural Victorian high school.
A spokesperson from Country Fire Authority (CFA) said the teen, who was at Bairnsdale Secondary College in East Gippsland, was injured when a fuel drum exploded.
"The student was involved in an incident involving a fuel drum explosion," the spokesperson told 9news.com.au.

A now-former San Antonio police officer was charged on Tuesday with two counts of aggravated assault by a police officer in last week's shooting of a teen who was eating a hamburger in his car in a McDonald's parking lot.
James Brennand, 25, was charged in the October 2 shooting of Erik Cantu, 17, according to a police statement.
Cantu's family said in a statement Tuesday that "there is no improvement in his condition. He is still unconscious and is on life support. The last two days have been difficult, and we expect more difficulty ahead, but we remain hopeful".
