A young girl has been rushed to hospital after two of her fingers were partially severed at a playground in Sydney's Inner West.
The five-year-old was playing at a park on Homebush Road just before 1.30pm when her hand became stuck in a carousel.
Firefighters "located her two severed fingertips" while paramedics tended to the girl at the playground.
She has been taken to the Children's Hospital at Westmead for emergency treatment.
Another rainband is bearing down on the nation's south east, increasingly the likelihood of flooding across multiple states.
It comes after a monster storm smashed New South Wales and southern Queensland over the weekend. Residents are today urged to be vigilant for flooding as rivers continue rising.
A new cold front and associated low pressure trough will start passing over from Wednesday, Weatherzone said, adding it will bring three days of heavy rain to South Australia, Tasmania, Victoria, NSW, the Australian Capital Territory and southern Queensland.

Detective Sergeant Sam Hazlitt described the alleged attack as "brutal" and said both tools and weapons have been seized.
"It will be alleged she has suffered critical injuries as a result of trauma to the head," Hazlitt said.
"That was blunt force trauma.
"We have seized a high volume of exhibits which are being forensically processed which include both tools and weapons."

Four people have been charged over the alleged murder of a Perth mother-of-six.
The 40-year-old's body was last seen in the Armadale area on September 23 and her body was found in bushland on October 7.
Police allege the woman was lured to a dog park and attacked by her housemates, before her body was dumped a short time later.
A 32-year-old man from Brookdale, a 30-year-old woman from Brookdale and a 24-year-old man from Armadale were today charged with murder.
A 26-year-old from Armadale has been charged with accessory after the fact.
